Thursday is the student night

Every Thursday, axe throwing is $15 per person all day, the lowest price of the week. From October through May, Thursday nights also bring a meat raffle and horse racing from 7 to 9 PM, which makes an easy plan for a roommate group or a whole floor.

Each group gets its own fully enclosed lane with one axe at a time, and a coach runs a short safety and technique briefing before the first throw. Nobody needs to have thrown before.

What an hour costs

One hour is $25 per person, two hours is $37, and three hours is $49. Thursdays are $15 per person all day. Safety briefing and all equipment are included, and Hatchet House runs a separate student offer on its college page.

Food, drinks and the other games

Keith's Old River Pizza delivers pizza and flatbreads to your table, and the full bar pours domestic and craft beer, cider, seltzer, wine and cocktails for guests 21 and over, with Coke products and Lift Bridge sodas for everyone. Darts, giant Jenga, bean bags and a hunt simulator fill the time between turns, and the MultiSport Simulator bay fits up to eight players.

Make a night of it

Downtown Bemidji and the Lake Bemidji waterfront, where Paul Bunyan and Babe stand, are minutes from the door, so dinner before and a walk after are easy to add.
